Things in my routine went a little off schedule last week. With more arthritis issues in my knee, along with a new injury, I’ve been having trouble walking. Having trouble doing anything. I’ll be having arthroscopic surgery on my left knee next week to clean out the torn meniscus and the arthritis gunk. I can’t wait, because as soon as that one is healed, I’m going to have the right one done, which is actually more painful at this point. It’s become very frustrating to not be able to DO things and to be in constant pain. So yes, I am looking forward to the surgery.
Still, I was able to get through those daily challenges as far as organizing last week. Not so much this week, and probably not so much next week, as I’ll be doing the recovery and recuperating thing. So mostly online type of work and organizing.
But right now- I’m going to go in a different line of thinking. Those of you whom have seen me, know that I’m a “large gal”. Plus sized woman. Why is it that you cannot find any stylish clothes in big sizes? Even when I was shopping for career type of outfits, it wasn’t easy. Things were made with huge ruffles, big poofs, horizontal stripes, large, loud prints. I mean, really, do they not think that plus sized women like simple, tailored, clean lined outfits? Now that I work from home, I can go back to my preferred dress… which is usually a very casual, one step up from PJ’s, kind of look. Actually, I like the peasant, hippie, bohemian kind of look, but again, it’s hard to find in plus sizes. It’s hard when you can see what you want in your mind, but can’t find it anywhere! Think I’m going to have to learn to sew clothing again, so i can just make my own outfits. I haven’t sewn clothing in many years; but i think that may be added to my list this year. Fabrics have always been like an addiction for me…. fabrics and papers. The fabric addiction is where I started when I was young. That addiction got converted to paper, but never went away.
I’m going to work on a list of challenges to myself that I can do while hobbled this upcoming week. I’ll be posting that tomorrow!
